Abstract

Introduction: Adolescence is an important transitional phase characterized by physical, psychological, and social changes, including an understanding of reproductive health. Lack of knowledge in this area can lead to risky sexual behavior, such as premarital sex, unwanted pregnancy, and sexually transmitted infections. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between reproductive health knowledge and sexual behavior among female adolescents at SMK Manggala Karang Tengah, Tangerang City.Method: The study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and a correlational type. A total of 155 respondents were selected using total sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires on knowledge and sexual behavior, each consisting of 10 items. Result: The results showed that 52.9% of respondents had good knowledge, while 53.5% exhibited low sexual behavior. The majority were 17 years old, with parents who had completed high school (78.7%) and low income (69%). Social media was the primary source of information (45.2%). There was a significant relationship between reproductive health knowledge and sexual behavior (p = 0.013), as well as parents' highest level of education (p = 0.002). However, there was no significant relationship between age, parents' income, and sources of information with sexual behavior (p > 0.05).Conclution: This study emphasizes the importance of the role of families and schools in providing reproductive health education to shape healthy sexual behavior.
