Abstract

Introduction During chemotherapy, paediatric cancer patients often experience vomiting and nausea. One type of treatment used to control the growth of cancer cells is chemotherapy. Nausea and vomiting, which are caused by stimulation of the nausea and vomiting centre triggered by chemotherapy drugs and the chemoreceptor trigger zone, are the effects of chemotherapy. Objective: to determine the effect of orange peel aromatherapy on reducing nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy in children aged 3-17 years at the Humanitarian Emergency Response Foundation (RCBDAK) shelter. Method: This study used a quantitative one-group pretest-posttest design approach. Results and Conclusions: The P-value is 0.000 <? (0.05). So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The marginal homogeneity test shows the effect of orange peel aromatherapy on reducing nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy in children aged 3-17 years who live in the Humanitarian Emergency Response Foundation (RCBDAK) shelter in 2023
